Vannessa’s master’s thesis on the stigmatization of military personnel was showcased at the Association for Psychological Science conference in Washington, DC, and uncovered unexpected elements that hinder veteran student integration into college communities. The Western Association of Veterans Education Specialists honored her with the Diana Davis Service Award for Excellence (2019) and the Bill Pearson Lifetime Achievement Award (2021) for her contributions toward the creation and improvement of programs and services to military-connected students. |
